Meet The Author

RL Banker

As a community banker, Rod Loggins (RL Banker) is responsible for community engagement and outreach for nonprofit organizations, conducting financial literacy and money management workshops, home buyer education seminars, and identifying investment, mortgage, and small business opportunities in underserved communities, primarily in the deep south.

Before embarking on a career in community banking, he held several leadership positions, including Area Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, and Senior Retail Bank Manager for mid-size as well as large financial institutions, where he was instrumental in growing market share and increasing revenues, reducing cost through risk-based lending initiatives and operational efficiencies.

RL has led teams of over 50 account executives, generating hundreds of millions of dollars in mortgage loans in 7 states throughout the Southeast USA. He also held a position in the Department of Treasury during the 2010 Census, managing six direct reports and supervising over 2000 enumerators.

He is a Combat US Navy Veteran and has served as a Hospital Corpsman with 2nd Marine Division during Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Rod holds a bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University in Healthcare Administration.

RL has authored two children’s books, written two screenplays, and is an accomplished painter and modern artist. Rod is the Senior Pastor of Glory Tabernacle Christian Church he started in 2004. He is married to Clarice Yolanda Loggins, a retired educator with Memphis-Shelby County Schools. They have been married for over three decades and have one adult son who is also married and has two sons of his own.

RL was motivated to write “Da Evil Innuendo” because, as a Pastor, he has a moral obligation to proclaim the good news and share the truth. Da Evil Innuendo is not merely a title but a metaphoric spiritual play on words. The evil in the window penetrates one’s heart as a connotation and reflection of one’s deepest hidden dark side. The story takes place in the psyche of the reader’s mind, who desperately tries to place themselves in direct contrast with the characters, only to see themselves as they truly are. The eyes are the window to the soul, and when the I become bigger than you, conversely, the sense gates open to spiritual invasions of the mind, good or bad.
